Widgets and Live Activities
The Daily Check widget for your iPhone home screen, the Live Activity during workouts and the widgets on the app's dashboard.
With the Daily Check widget you see your wellbeing right on your home screen. During a workout, the Live Activity shows your current exercise on the lock screen.
Daily Check widget
There are two sizes:
| Widget | Size | Shows |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Check Kompakt | small | today's wellbeing at a glance |
| Daily Check | medium | today's wellbeing and a trend for the last 7 days |
If you haven't done today's check yet, the widget prompts you to. If you're not signed in to the app, it asks you to sign in.
Adding the widget:
- Press and hold an empty spot on your home screen until the apps jiggle.
- Tap Edit or + and search for VolleyFit.
- Choose the size and tap Add Widget.
The widget only displays information – you can't enter anything in it. Tap it to open VolleyFit and fill in the Daily Check there. How that works is explained in Filling in the Daily Check.
Live Activity during workouts
When you start a workout on iPhone, it appears as a Live Activity on the lock screen and – on iPhones with a Dynamic Island – at the top of the display. It shows:
- the workout name and the current exercise
- the current set and how many sets you've completed
- the workout time
- the countdown for rests or timed exercises
When you finish the workout, the Live Activity ends with a summary. More in Completing workouts.
If no Live Activity appears, check in your iPhone settings under VolleyFit that Live Activities are allowed.
On Android and inside the app
If you switch to another part of the app during a workout, a banner shows how many sets you've completed – so you don't lose track of the running workout. This works on both iPhone and Android.
Widgets on the app's dashboard
Don't mix them up: the app's first tab, the Dashboard, is also made of widgets – e.g. Daily Check, Groups, Activity and Upcoming events. You set them up like this:
- Open the menu at the top left → Settings → Dashboard widgets.
- Tap a widget to show or hide it.
- Drag it by its handle to another position.
The icon at the top right resets everything to the default order. The setting only applies to the device you're using. More about the app in Getting around the app.
