Connecting VolleyCoach
What the link with the tactics app VolleyCoach does, which data is shared and how to set it up.
VolleyCoach (volleycoach.de) is a separate volleyball tactics app. If you connect it to VolleyFit, VolleyCoach can read your rosters – so you don’t have to type in your players a second time.
What the connection does
With your consent, VolleyCoach gets read access to your teams and players:
- only teams where you are coach – teams where you’re a player or supervisor aren’t included
- players’ name, jersey number and position
- no photos
VolleyCoach can’t change anything in VolleyFit through this connection – there is no write access.
Jersey number and position come from team data. Keep them up to date there so they arrive complete in VolleyCoach.
Setting up the connection
You start the connection in VolleyCoach. VolleyFit then asks for your permission in the browser.
- In VolleyCoach, start connecting to VolleyFit.
- Your browser opens the VolleyFit page VolleyCoach verbinden (connect VolleyCoach).
- If you’re not signed in, enter the email and password of your VolleyFit account and tap Anmelden (sign in).
- Read the consent text. It explains what VolleyCoach wants to access.
- Tap Erlauben (allow). Abbrechen (cancel) stops without connecting.
- You’re taken back to VolleyCoach automatically.
You don’t need access to the web dashboard itself. A normal VolleyFit account is enough – but only teams where you are coach are shared.
If something goes wrong
- “Anmeldung fehlgeschlagen” (sign-in failed): check your email and password.
- “Verknüpfung fehlgeschlagen” (linking failed): try again, ideally starting from VolleyCoach.
- A team is missing in VolleyCoach: check that you have the coach role in that team and that the team belongs to a club.
- Another error on the connection page: start the connection again in VolleyCoach. The page only works when it’s opened from VolleyCoach.
