Roles and permissions
Which roles exist in teams and clubs, what they can do, how to assign them and which rights only the creator has.
Every member has at least one role in a team or club. The role defines what someone can see and do – for example create events, manage members or run the treasury.
Team roles
| Role | In short | Can do by default |
|---|---|---|
| Player | Takes part in team life | Accept and decline events, write in chat, vote in polls, comment, see other members’ team data (e.g. jersey number) |
| Supervisor | Helps organise | Everything a player can, plus: invite, accept and remove members, manage events and attendance, create posts and polls, moderate comments, manage documents and subgroups, run the team treasury, see statistics and member data, view measurements |
| Coach | Full management rights | Everything a supervisor can, plus: edit the team, change other members’ roles, assign workouts, record and manage measurements, set document visibility, track player development |
A person can have several roles, e.g. player and supervisor. The permissions add up.
Club roles
| Role | Can do by default |
|---|---|
| Member | Plain club member – can take part in club chats. No management rights. |
| Helper | Supports events and tasks. Has no extra permissions by default. |
| Coach | Invite and manage members, see member data, create groups in the club, create club group chats, manage documents, define club metrics |
| Admin | Everything a coach can, plus: edit the club, change roles, see all of the club’s groups, set document visibility |
A permission held in the club also applies in all teams of that club. For example, a club admin can manage members in every club team without having a role there.
Anyone who joins a team inside a club automatically becomes a club member with the Member role.
What only the creator can do
Whoever creates a team automatically becomes coach. Whoever creates a club becomes admin and coach.
Two things are reserved for the creator – other coaches or admins can’t do them:
- delete the team or club (see Editing teams, subgroups and deleting)
- buy and manage premium (see Premium for groups and clubs)
Changing a role
Team roles can be changed by anyone with the Change others’ roles permission – by default, the coach.
In a team (app):
- Open the team and tap All members.
- Tap ⋮ on the member → Edit. Manage member opens.
- In the Roles section, switch the roles you want on or off: Player, Supervisor, Coach.
In a club (app): open the club’s members page, select the person and set their club roles under Roles. Tap Save changes. By default, the admin can change club roles.
When you accept a join request, you set the role right away – see Inviting and managing members.
In the web dashboard
The web dashboard is meant for coaches, supervisors, helpers and club admins. Players and parents use the app.
- Team: Members → pencil icon Edit member → Roles section. Choose Player, Supervisor and/or Coach and click Save.
- Club: select the club → Members → click the person → gear icon Manage member → Roles. Roles can be combined, e.g. member + coach.
In the dashboard, the club roles are called Member, Assistant (the helper role), Coach and Administrator.
