Health data and consent

What counts as health data in VolleyFit, when you consent, what applies to under-16s, who sees your data and how to withdraw consent.

The Daily Check, pain reports and training load help you and your coach spot overload early. Because this is sensitive data, VolleyFit only stores it with your explicit consent.

What counts as health data

  • When you sign up: if you choose the athlete or coach role, the app asks for your consent in the Health data step.
  • Later, when it's needed: if you haven't consented yet, the Record health data window appears before your first Daily Check, pain report or body measurement – and when you join a team. Tap I agree to continue.
  • When the privacy terms change: if the consent changes, the app asks you again.

If your profile has no date of birth, Date of birth required appears first. Enter it so the app can check your age.

Under 16

If you're younger than 16, you need your parents' consent. Without a confirmed guardian, Parental consent required appears – and you can neither record health data nor join a team.

Here's how:

  1. Open the menu → Guardians.
  2. Tap Invite guardian and enter the email address your parent uses for VolleyFit.
  3. Your parent accepts the invitation in their app and consents to the processing of your health data.

Your parent can also invite you instead. The block is lifted once the link is confirmed. Details in Setting up guardian access.

Only you can enter or change your health data. Coaches only get the wellbeing and load views of other members in Premium teams or clubs.

In the web dashboard

Coaches see health data in the web dashboard on a member's profile page in the Load, Health and Measurements tabs. The following applies:

  • Only with release and consent: the release is created automatically if you're allowed to view member data in one of the member's teams or clubs – it can't be set in the dashboard. On top of that, valid consent must be in place. If either is missing, the tab shows a lock and the reason.
  • 90 days at most: the dashboard only shows health data for the last 90 days (choose “4 weeks” or “3 months”).
  • Read only: Daily Checks and pain reports are entered in the app. The dashboard only displays them.

You can withdraw your consent at any time:

  1. Open the menu → Settings → Profile & Account.
  2. Tap Withdraw health consent.
  3. Confirm in the Withdraw consent? window with Withdraw.

You can consent again at any time later – but the deleted data won't come back.

How long data is kept

Health data is kept as long as your consent stands. It's deleted when you withdraw consent or delete your account – see Exporting data and deleting your account. The 90 days in the dashboard are just a display limit, not a deletion period.
