For parents

Acting on behalf of your child

What you can do for your child as a guardian – reply to events, absences, polls, chat and health data.

Once you’re linked to your child as a guardian, you handle a lot right in your own app: accept or decline events, enter absences, vote and write in chat. There’s no separate profile switch – you choose who you’re acting for each time.

Where you see your child

  • Teams: your child’s teams appear in the Teams tab even if you’re not a member yourself – showing how many of your wards are in each.
  • Dashboard: the Upcoming events tile also shows your child’s events. In the Groups tile, teams where only your child is a member have a blue ring.
  • Events: in the list you can filter by your child’s first name to see only their events – or use Meine to see only your own.

Accepting and declining events

Each of your child’s events has its own row for them, such as Confirm for Lena. If you have several children in the team, each child gets their own row.

  1. Open the Events tab or the event.
  2. In your child’s row, tap Confirm, Decline or – if the event allows it – Maybe.
  3. If the event requires a reason for declining, enter it. The reason is visible to the coaches.
A separate row per child shows who you’re replying for.

Your child gets a notification when you reply for them. In turn, you’re notified when your child replies themselves or moves up from the waitlist. Once the reply deadline has passed, you can’t change anything – then only the coach can help. More on deadlines and the waitlist in Accepting and declining events.

Entering absences

  1. In the side menu, open Absences and tap Sign off.
  2. Under For whom, select your child – or several people, including Me.
  3. Choose the reason and period and enter a short text.

All events in that period are declined automatically for your child. In the overview you’ll see your child’s absences marked “For …”. Details in Entering absences.

Polls

For polls in your child’s team, choose who you’re voting for under Vote for:. In anonymous polls, the vote is final once cast. More in Posts, polls and comments.

Chat

You can see your child’s team chats and private chats and write in them on their behalf.

  • At the top it says You are writing as guardian for ….
  • Your messages are marked Sent by you as guardian.
  • Others can see that guardians are reading along.
  • Forwarding, replying privately and blocking aren’t available in guardian mode.

More in Chat and group chats.

Health data

As a linked guardian you may view your child’s health data, such as Daily Checks, pain reports, body data and load. You’ll find it on your child’s profile in the Health tab. Within a team, this view may require Premium.

More about consent in Health data and consent.

Notifications for parents

Under Settings → Notifications there’s a Guardian section as soon as one of your children is in a team. There you control, for example, event invitations, reminders, changed and cancelled events, polls, posts, chat and team treasury for your child. See Notifications.
